Overview

SS-31 (Elamipretide) is a mitochondria-targeted tetrapeptide (D-Arg–2′6′-dimethylTyr–Lys–Phe) that selectively localizes to the inner mitochondrial membrane, scavenging reactive oxygen species and improving ATP synthesis.
